Deliverr Raises $40M in Series C Funding

We’re thrilled to share that Deliverr has raised $40M in Series C funding, led by Activant Capital, bringing the total capital raised to $70M. Other investors in Deliverr include 8VC, GLP and Flexport Founder & CEO Ryan Petersen.

Deliverr has been busy over the last year. We’ve increased the number of customers that rely on us for fast, affordable fulfillment by 11X and now have thousands of merchants working with us. We’ve also increased our warehouse footprint by 4X in the last year, so more than half of the country now lives within 100 miles of a fulfillment location.

With the new capital, Deliverr will be able to:

  • Advance our machine learning capabilities so that we can predict demand and stock warehouses accordingly.
  • Build out fast, affordable shipping programs across new major online marketplaces.
  • Finally, scale the team across our three offices in San Francisco, Chicago and Toronto.

Retailers selling their products on Walmart, eBay and their own Shopify sites set themselves apart with fast shipping by working with Deliverr. This includes new entrepreneurial businesses like TushBaby, large CPG brands like Bulletproof 360, and top Walmart sellers like Enviro-Log.

When Enviro-Log sold its Limited Edition KFC Fried Chicken Firelog for the holidays on Walmart.com, delivery by Christmas eve was critical. By working with Deliverr, KFC sold tens of thousands logs during the holidays, making it one of the most successful marketing campaigns of the year.

Amazon has changed the way people shop online. There’s a growing expectation that orders should always arrive at the doorstep in just a few days. While Amazon has excelled at the science behind two-day and next-day delivery, the rest of online retail, which represents a $250B industry the US alone, has struggled to keep up.

Fast, affordable delivery requires well-placed fulfillment centers spanning the country, carefully orchestrated logistics, and complex enterprise technology. We created Deliverr to bring Amazon-like fulfillment capabilities to online retailers of any size, helping them meet the high expectations of today’s shopper and better compete with other retailers.
